How it is calculated
Bill ≈ kWh used × your utility’s average residential rate (in CAD) + monthly customer charge, plus GST/HST and any provincial taxes. Real bills can add delivery and supply lines, time-of-use pricing, tiered rates and rate riders.
Results are estimates for planning, not bills or professional advice. For generator hookups use a transfer switch installed by a licensed electrician and approved under the Canadian Electrical Code.
